There before them standing tall in all of natures glory was a child... no, a man.  He was no longer a child for he stood clad in only the ribcage of the night-bear he had slain, and through ashened brow and bloodied cheeks shown the eyes of both the hunted and the hunter.  No more was the boy who just days before yearned for the protection of his mother and feared the wrath of his father, now only a warrior remained.  The light reflected in his eyes was not the headlights of the search and rescue volunteers jeep, but the fires of Valhalla!  The mans life may return to normal, but his soul will forever be ablaze, and his heart forever a feast hall of past triumphs and conquests not yet realized.  Never again will the man walk in fear, complain ineffectually, or hide behind excuses; for the only path he sees is one of victory and both God and nature will stand as vanguard in his journey.
